As I sit and write this email, the sun is shining, the door is open and there is a distinct chill in the air as we head towards the autumn.
|

July and August were busy times at the harbour as tourist season reached it’s peak, I was open most days to keep up with demand! Now we are in September, there is a lull in footfall and visitors as shorter opening times loom. With this in mind I’m focussing on working on the website.

Photoshoot

I have always had product photos and dimensions of each piece on the website, but nothing beats seeing how a piece of jewellery looks on a real person for size and perspective. At the beginning of the month, I had a photoshoot with the amazing Amy from Mooiefee Photography and a selection of models who volunteered their time, in exchange for a headshot for their own use. It was a fun shoot with lots of laughter and enthusiasm whilst the models were posing for the camera. I‘m looking forward to seeing the final results and using the images on the website and social media.

Customs and commissions
|
Did you know that I take commissions for custom pieces? It’s another page of the website to be added. Placing a commission isn’t really as daunting as it sounds! We discuss your initial ideas and from there I suggest various ideas and supply the design. We can then discuss your budget and timescale and then I can get making your piece. I love taking commissions and enjoy the challenge of designing a new piece. I completed a commission for a Sapphire bangle as a 21st Birthday present last year with sentimental engraving inside it and on an a returning visit, the same customer commissioned a matching star and sapphire pendant for her daughter’s graduation gift.

Another customer commissioned a matching earring and pendant as a 21st Birthday gift. We worked closely with the design brief, colour and size of stone and I delivered a beautiful Garnet set to a very happy customer.

Harbour Opening Times
The harbour marketplace is open at weekends from 11am – 6pm during September.
inSilver hut is open from 11am – 4pm Wednesday to Friday weather permitting, please check social media for daily updates.
In October we step down to weekends only, 11am – 4pm, our final trading day is Sunday 26th October.
The Festive Market opens on Friday 14th November 4pm - 8pm for the lights switch on and then continues, Fridays & Saturdays 11am – 7pm, Sundays 11am – 6pm then Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th it’s 11am – 6pm and then I will be an exhausted heap in the corner for the festivities!
