Sterling Silver Stacking Rings
During this workshop you will make a set of three stacking rings.
Approximate time: 4 hours
After a health and safety discussion, you will be introduced to the tools to be used and receive a demonstration on the various methods of silversmithing
You will learn
To cut a length of silver with a piercing saw
How to anneal the silver with a gas torch, before making the silver into a ring shape and sizing it to your finger
You will file the ends and edges of the silver
You will learn how to solder the join to create a continuous round ring shape. At this stage you can choose to texture the ring with a hammer or solder on a centerpiece
Polish your ring to a mirror finish ready to wear with pride!
