Surprise your loved one this Valentines Day with a couples ring making workshop!
Spend quality time in the studio, creating a Sterling silver ring for each other, using traditional silversmithing methods. You will be able to wear the ring with pride at the end of the session! Suitable for complete beginners.
A complementary, single red rose will adorn the workbench on your arrival, along with a bottle of Prosecco yours to take away.

Time: 10am
Approximate time: 3 – 4 hours

After a short health and safety discussion, you will be introduced to the tools to be used and receive a demonstration on the various methods of silversmithing
You will learn
To cut a length of silver with a piercing saw
How to anneal the silver with a gas torch, allowing you to add shape and texture
Form the silver into a ring shape and size it to your finger
File the ends and edges of the silver ready for soldering
How to solder the join to create a continuous round ring shape
You will then polish your ring to a mirror finish ready to wear with pride!
