*  This workshop is for Saturday 10th February and to start at 3pm.
* Due to insurance purposes, attendee’s must be strictly aged 16 or over.
* All workshops are suitable for complete beginners. You will be given a full demonstration of how the piece of jewellery is made. When it’s your turn, the processes are demonstrated again,  this time step by step – but don’t worry, assistance is given as required!
* The workshop will be for you and the person that you bring, not  a mixed group.
* Gift vouchers are posted out on booking.

Sterling Silver Three Ring Option

During this workshop you will make one ring, with the choice of the traditional D-profile, Flat Square or Ribbon Twist design. The gift voucher will include a design sheet with each ring, allowing the choice to be made on the day.

Approximate time: 3-4 hours

After a health and safety discussion, you will be introduced to the tools to be used and receive a demonstration on the various methods of silversmithing

You will learn:

To cut a length of silver with a piercing saw

How to anneal the silver with a gas torch, before making the silver into a ring shape and sizing it to your finger

File the ends and edges of the silver

How to solder the join to create a continuous round ring shape

Polish your ring to a mirror finish ready to wear with pride!
