Description
On a visit to the Folkestone Harbour Arm, the day after Storm Cieran in October 2023, I picked up a strand of seaweed that had been launched onto the walkway with the power of the stormy sea. I was amazed by the beauty of it’s natural organic texture and took a putty mould from it. From the mould, I created a silver cast of the strand and worked in a few simple designs to make it wearable. I discovered it is the Thongweed or Himanthalia Elongata variety, also known as Sea Spaghetti or Sea Thong.

Approximately 5mm wide x 40mm from top of jump ring to end of pendant.
Supplied on a sterling silver Snake chain with the option of 16″, 18″ or 20″ length.
Handcrafted at the inSilver studio using Eco/recycled silver.
